Ice Candle Celebration Day
In 2019, the Wawa Cemetery Committee organized an Annual Ice Candle Celebration Day event. This is a unique (non-denominational) celebration of life and takes place at its Woodland Cemetery.
Ice Candles are lit in celebration and memory of loved ones. Anyone can buy an ice candle and either lay it on a loved one's plot or have volunteers place the candle for you.
Don't have anyone to celebrate and still want to contribute? You can donate or buy an ice candle and it will be lit and placed along the roadway inside the Cemetery on the day of the event.
All money raised from this event goes towards the Cemetery Beautification Project.
